How To Start A Home Business Online And Make Money Online

Posted: 08 Jul 2010 05:26 PM PDT

internet advertising Suddenly, I found myself one day in the mist of a beautiful place with great weather, palm trees, sunny skies, and lovely hummingbirds graciously floating near my patio. Every time I reached into my pockets and bank account, or saw the bills roll in. It was like a rain storm that washed all of natures essence away. internet advertising Do not get me wrong I appreciate our creator gifts to earth. Things just can be overwhelming at times. Well today is a new day, and with the poor economical status around the world. Millions of people just like I was are looking for different ways to make money or start and at home or online business. Finding was to this will take some work, but if you are unemployed, you can set up a particular time during the day or night to invest in starting your business. First find out what exactly is it that you would like to do. Find out what will be your strengths and weaknesses. What drives your Passions? Do you your research and prepare yourself. Be willing to learn as much as you can, make changes and sacrifices if need be. Think of it as a new life style. Ask yourself, is your idea marketable? Does it have value? Will it peak peoples interests? I suggest starting with an online keyword search website, such as adwords.google.com/select/keywordtoolexternal. Sitesell.com is also a good site to look for keywords. They have a wealth of information and extensive tools on keyword search. Site sell cost $69 dollars a month, but you can get a refund within 30 days if you do not want the service. So you can use this site as a free trial to learn about keyword search. It is definitely worth the free trial. Cannot think of anything? You can also promote company products. This is called affiliate marketing. A lot of successful internet marketers start out this way. It can generate large amounts of income. Take notes about what service or products you are providing. How do you want your website design? How many pages do you want? What type of hosting for your site? I find host gator or Go daddy to be the cheapest. Also you will need a domain name. I have tried and succeeded at creating my own website, but it was time consuming. Then again I had a lot of time on my hands. You can also hire a professional to create or design your website. Now you are ready for traffic! By: nosillo internet advertising

Amazon – A Mystery for Sellers and Buyers!

Posted: 08 Jul 2010 05:03 PM PDT

Amazon has always a mystery for people who wish to make some extra money selling things online. Its not the Amazon that only provides the opportunity to sell things to potential buyers, there are other popular marketplaces like eBay are too well-known. We can simply draw a comparison line between Amazon and eBay that they are into the same sector where buyers and seller explore each other for possible transactions. But both are completely different from each other so far as selling and buying methods are concerned. EBay is known for its auction style selling procedure and Amazon is well known for book selling. But both the online marketplaces have come a long way ahead. From Dot-Com to Web 3.0 through Web 2.0, a lot has been changed on World Wide Web and the way internet surfers behave online especially during online purchases. If anybody asks me which WWW term is the most confusing, I would say Web 2.0. According to Wikipedia.org, Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the Internet as a platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform. Web 2.0 revolution encourages lightweight, easy-to-use and user centric business models. In other sense we can assume that Web 2.0 ushered the era of Internet Independence. Amazon has rightly supported the Web 2.0 standards and has opened its solutions to other sellers. As a result Amazon sellers now can sell a lot variety of products apart from books. internet advertising The best thing about Amazon is that it offers a wide range of individual features to the customer that, when united, offer a very interactive experience. Due to this reason, Amazon successfully retains customers despite heavy competition from other marketplaces so far as price is concerned. Features like Products Review, Tagging and Categorization, Product Rating, and even Product Review Rating by other customers have made Amazon a reliable source for buying and selling. Over the course of time, a customer can build a reputation as a reviewer. This facilitates a sense of ownership on the site and encourages customers getting engaged on the site while shopping. Buyers can publish photos of the products theyve bought. This all serves the customers by providing additional information that plays a major factor while making a purchasing decision. But this does not stop here. An Amazon Buyer can prepare lists of various relative items that they can be recommended as a group. This is all Open Data Contribution feature of Amazon. But Amazon also follows its buyers behaviour and gathers information from such buyers behaviour patterns. If an Amazon buyer looks at one product but ends up buying another, thats a Data Point that can potentially control a purchasing decision for the next buyer. Amazon gathers this information and prepares a Product Ranking, along with additional information that eventually gets published along with the core product features. Octavia Nasr Canned at CNN for Twenty Years

Posted: 08 Jul 2010 07:01 AM PDT

internet advertising Remember Octavia Nasr? She’s been the chief Middle East correspondent at CNN for twenty years. Or she was until yesterday. Over the weekend she tweeted “Sad to hear of the passing of Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah… One of Hezbollah’s giants I respect a lot.” internet advertising Doing a little sleuthing it seems like it may be slightly overstating things to say he was a member or leader of Hezbollah, more like a spiritual mentor or a cleric closely associated with the movement. In any case, given CNN’s record of running for the hills over a lot less, I can’t say I’m completely surprised at their decision. And I’m a little surprised she’d tweet that myself. And in the internal memo CNN circulated explaining her termination, a CNN VP wrote, “she fully accepts that she should not have made such a simplistic comment without any context whatsoever.” But a twenty year run down the tubes over 140 characters? That just doesn’t seem right to me. internet advertising

World Cup 2010: Spain overcome Germany after Defender Carles Puyol winner

Posted: 08 Jul 2010 06:49 AM PDT

internet advertising spain made history by repeating themselves. The country appears in a World Cup final for the first time because it has hit on a formula for glory. They face Holland in Johannesburg on Sunday after winning every match in the knockout phase 1-0, with the goal in Durban coming through an overwhelming header from Carles Puyol. That breakthrough arrived when Xavi found the centre-half with a corner-kick in the 73rd minute as Spain showed they need not impress solely with mellifluous passing. There is still something idiosyncratic about an expansive approach that brings narrow wins. The syndrome is especially galling for Germany, who lost by this score to Spain in the Euro 2008 final. Those results look like a demonstration of taunting authority. It is as if the victors are unassailable once they have taken the lead. Common sense would insist it is a dangerous approach to take, but Spain’s record argues otherwise. When Pedro Rodrguez squandered an opportunity to add a second goal against Germany, it did not feel like a potentially ruinous lapse. The mastery involved can be recognised when it is recalled that Germany came fresh from scoring eight times while knocking out England and then Argentina. The opportunities to show such marksmanship again were denied Joachim Lw’s line-up. Germany are young enough to improve, but it is a challenge for any opponents to master Spain. internet advertising The 1-0 results are a falsehood if they suggest that Vicente del Bosque’s side grind out results. Their play is enjoyable as well as masterful and Holland will require every ounce of strategic intelligence and combativeness if they are not to vanish from the game. Spain are seldom in a hurry and solid defending invites them to bide their time. One of their best attackers enjoyed just an eventual cameo against Germany. Del Bosque had previously been determined to nurse Fernando Torres into form and fitness following knee surgery in the spring, but the Liverpool forward had not made his mark in the earlier matches at this tournament. In Durban he returned to the substitutes’ bench, regardless of the fact that his goal had settled that Euro 2008 clash. The manager could take such a step since the authority in his squad means they can afford to wait for a goal. David Villa was pushed into the lone attacker’s post and Pedro came into the side as one of the three support strikers. The latter was one of seven Barcelona players in the line-up, with three from Real Madrid. The task of representing the remainder of La Liga fell to Joan Capdevila of Villarreal. While the dominance of the two principal clubs lacks romance, it does ensure that the members of the side are well-acquainted, even if Villa’s switch from Valencia to Camp Nou was only completed recently. Spain were cohesive from the outset. With six minutes gone, Pedro fed Villa for an attempt that was blocked by the goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. At that stage, Germany’s ambitions were either modest or made to seem so as Spain dictated the terms of the play. It says much for the expectation where Del Bosque’s line-up is concerned that some have been displeased with them. Perhaps the passing had been a little too studied and there was an endeavour to raise the tempo in the semi-final. Germany were vigilant as they aimed to take the sting out of Spain. There were moments that would have heartened Lw after the opening half-hour. The midfielder Piotr Trochowski, introduced for the suspended Thomas Mller, hit a good shot that was turned behind by Iker Casillas. Having failed to damage Germany, Spain might have been in deep trouble on the verge of the interval. Mesut Ozil broke free and Sergio Ramos caught him with a challenge from behind. The contact had occurred just before the Germany midfielder entered the penalty area and the Hungarian referee Viktor Kassai saw no offence. The second half contained a more direct approach from Del Bosque’s men. Since this is Spain, nothing coarse was entailed, but the attacking was intense and Xabi Alonso got himself into positions for drives that went wide. All the same, it scarcely amounted to a reign of terror. If there was satisfaction for Spain in that spell it sprung from the knowledge that they had pinned down Germany. Andrs Iniesta got possession in the inside-left channel and his cut-back was nearly turned in by Villa. There was more intent and a higher tempo to Spain’s work for a period. Lw’s unease was apparent in his substitution of the left-back Jrme Boateng and Trochowski with Marcell Jansen and Toni Kroos respectively. The latter soon had an effect when he volleyed Lukas Podolski’s cross, even if the effort was too close to Casillas. Spain’s goal came soon after. A more mature Holland line-up will be convinced they have the cold-eyed competitiveness to damage Spain. Many sides, though, have held that hope, only to see it painstakingly crushed. internet advertising

Import Blogger Content to Posterous

Posted: 06 Jul 2010 11:54 AM PDT

Import Blogger Content to PosterousMicro-blogging platform Posterous has released a new tool to help Blogger users to migrate their content to Posterous in a very simple manner. In fact, Blogger is now being added to a collection of web services Posterous is integrating in their platform.

Every day since June 22nd 2010, Posterous has been releasing a new tool to help users transfer content from the competition to their platform in a campaign called A new importer per day for the next 15 days.

Tools for Squareforce, TweetPhoto, TwitPic, Xanga, Vox, LiveJournal, Tumblr and Ning have already been released until now to rave user reviews. With today’s launch, Posterous made a big move on the blogging market, going after one of the biggest blogging platforms on the web.

Richard Pearson, vice president of marketing at Posterous described this tool as one of the most important for the company in this cycle, being one of the most requested features by users in the last year. “This launch is very important to us because Blogger has been one of the most requested services by our users, especially outside the United States,” said Mr. Pearson for Spanish blog Genbeta.

Users will be able to move Blogger posts, static pages, tags and even comments just by entering their blog URL address, no change being made to the original Blogger page.

While Tumblr ranks in traffic statistics way higher than Posterous, the company has recently recorded a 700% yearly growth in unique visitors, mainly driven by many of the new tools the company has been releasing lately.

With a very simple editor, a huge array of theme designs, social bookmarking features, support for images, video and audio files, the company attracts users like a magnet. Their leading feature still remains the content auto-updaters for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google Buzz (added a week before the Blogger Importer).

To migrate content from your Blogger account to Posterous just follow this link.

Facebook Senior Engineer Hacked by his Colleagues

Posted: 06 Jul 2010 11:52 AM PDT

Facebook Senior Engineer Hacked by his ColleaguesSeveral Facebook employees successfully hacked the password of a senior engineer as part of a challenge to test the security of the site’s administrative system. In order to do it they employed an evil twin wireless attack.

Last month Twitter settled with the Federal Trade Commission following an investigation into two security breaches that resulted in unauthorized individuals obtaining access to the site’s administrative system. Both incidents occurred in early 2009 and involved the compromise of accounts belonging to Twitter employees.

The first incident was the result of a classic brute force dictionary attack against a weak password (happiness), while the second was based on social engineering and involved the hacker compromising a personal email account first. As a result, the micro-blogging site was barred by the FTC for the next twenty years from misleading consumers about the extent to which it protects the security, privacy, and confidentiality of nonpublic consumer information. It was also forced to implement a comprehensive security program, that will be subject to independent audits for the next ten years.

According to TechCrunch, a Facebook site reliability engineer named Pedram Keyani was inspired by Twitter incidents and challenged his colleagues to try and hack him in a similar manner, the end game being access to the site’s administrative system. The “hackers” didn’t bother with phishing attacks or trying to infect the engineer’s computer with password stealing malware.

Instead they went straight to the place where he was most vulnerable, at home. There the “hackers” instrumented what is known as an evil twin attack. They installed a rogue access point, duplicated the settings of his wireless network – same SSID, same channel – and waited.

Being in the comfort of his home and with his guard down, Keyani logged into the rogue access point without realizing anything was wrong. Unfortunately, his colleagues had a traffic snooper installed on the AP, which captured everything, including his Facebook password in plain text.

Keyani considers the test a success, which proves the strong security model of the site. “While they were able to access my personal Facebook account, they were not able to use this information to access any other account on Facebook,” he told TechCrunch. via news softpedia

Why World of Warcraft Will Go Free to Play

Posted: 03 Jul 2010 10:05 AM PDT

Why World of Warcraft Will Go Free to Play
It might seem like impossibility at the moment but the winds of change will not spare World of Warcraft, the MMO from Blizzard that is the leader of the subscription-based market. The fact that the game will at some point ditch the monthly fee in order to go free to play is labeled as Certain in one of the drawers of my mind that is video game centered. It might take years but it will happen and here’s why it makes sense.

A few years ago, we would have been talking about World of Warcraft and we would have used the shorthand biggest MMO in the world. It was accurate but since then a few crucial things have changed. People can play Farmville. People can log into Dungeons & Dragons Online and play without paying, for a while at least. They will soon be able to do the same things in The Lord of the Rings Online from Turbine.

Sony got into the game with Free Realms. There are rumors that Star Wars: The Old Republic, the MMO coming from Electronic Arts and BioWare using one of the biggest licenses in the entertainment world, might also ditch subscriptions. These days, when talking about World of Warcraft, we still say the biggest MMO in the world but add the qualifier subscription based.

Blizzard is now working on Cataclysm, which will reward high level players who are already in the game and will probably draw in some of those who abandoned the MMO and some new blood. But in the long term, it’s unlikely that, as long as pay walls stay up, the game will get another huge influx of players.

The company must be content with the revenue it’s getting from more than 10 million players and recent sales for pets and rides have shown it can also make money by selling special content directly to players. This means that it could get a much wider player base by dropping the subscription fee and that it has the clout needed to sell it objects ranging from mounts to, presumably, special armor, weapons and access to certain parts of the world. It might take time but World of Warcraft will be swept by the free to play tide. viA news.softpedia.com

Jennifer Rovero arrested for marijuana

Posted: 03 Jul 2010 06:01 AM PDT

Jennifer Rovero the Former Playboy Playmate along with her friend Paris was in South Africa to witness the match between Netherlands and Brazil. After Brazils defeat both decide to use marijuana to come out of the shock of the biggest upset of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Guess what, its wasnt the bad day for Brazil only, it was the same bad day for Jennifer Rovero and Paris Hilton. Jennifer Rovero and Paris Hilton were arrested due to the possession of marijuana at Nelson Mandela stadium in South Africa, after the quarterfinal match between Brazil and Neherlands. According to the reports, the charges on Phil Hilton were dropped later but Jennifer Rovero was given two options, one to spend 30 days in prison and the second one was to pay $1000 as fine. Jennifer Rovero decided to pay the fine of $1000 and now she is clear from all charges. Although Paris and Jennifer Rovero clear their names from the mess they were into, Brazilian team have to work much harder to clear their names in front on their nation. Brazilian Football team is being considered as one of the strongest contenders of the FIFA World Cup 2010 and not only fans, but experts also thought that Brazil will make it to the finals of 2010 world cup easily, but it defeat by Netherlands made people thought otherwise. Brazil started the match very well and led the match 1-0 in the first half but second half turned the game around in favor of Netherlands, when Netherland players posted 2 goals in the second half winning the match by 2-1. Netherlands win over Brazil is still unbelievable for the entire Brazil nation and football experts. internet advertising
