The iPod Nano is currently in the sixth generation. Most of the previous generations have with changes to the construction of the sixth gene shrink unit right below and put a touch screen on the front of seen.
We see today that Apple [AAPL], is working on a new seventh generation model, the the same form factor as the 6th Gen model holds. The main difference is out however, that it looks how it get a camera on the back, and perhaps on the front. The leaked image (larger version below), shows what looks like the sixth gene device but with a camera-hole of the top-right of the unit cut.
The image could be indeed fake, but that site has a good track record of trip Apple products and specifications in the past.
The expected release date of the iPod nano seventh generation is expected to be the first or second week of September as was the case for all previous generations in this time frame to start. Expect to hear more closer to the date.
