Is Myspace a "Digital Ghetto"? | Tosh.0 Blog

Earlier today, TransCosmic ran a post entitled "MySpace now a 'digital ghetto'" based around ideas from a Danah Boyd speech.  Boyd, who has legitimate credentials in the field of digital and social media, stated, "We might as well face an uncomfortable reality … what happened [when users began changing from Myspace to Facebook] was modern day ‘white flight'."

Now, I realize that a lot of people are upset about having to switch social networking sites forcing them to rewrite their personal bios, reupload photos and come up with a new password, but playing the race card isn't going to keep you from having to sign up for Facebook account to stay in touch with your friends, Ms. Boyd.

Actually, at this point, just skip Facebook and head right for Twitter.  Otherwise, the terrorists win.

Personally, I'm still upset that the Jews forced me to give up my pet rock in exchange for a Rubik's Cube… so I know how you feel.
