CEBU City Vice Mayor joy Young Augustus said it would support the budget P10 million that Mayor Michael Rama is proposing for the next year.

However, Young said he wanted to make sure that the branch would not sell South Road properties (SRP) to increase the number of batches.

"I suspect that we will achieve P10 million if we sell lots SRP," young said.

Young said SRP lots sales to raise cash at the moment would not be rational.

The city would be not certain as the buyer would use the destination, he said.

The city only would expect that developments in the area, could double or triple the cost of lots SRP.

"There are other ways to get money fast," he said.

Young said he was certain that the Mayor has not yet appropriate to the totality of the budget of P 4.5 million that the city has for this year.

Mayor Branch requested before heads of Department to consider the possibility of raising P10 million in 2012.

He said the city needs the budget to implement programs as a model for drainage, urban poor housing projects and revitalization of the Centre of the city of Cebu.

City Treasurer Ophelia Oliva said his Office is ready to look for additional sources of financing for the budget by 2012.

He said that an increase of taxes is not an option. Instead of them has to make the allocation of tax and the real restoration of properties to collect the correct amount.
