He was speaking during the opening ceremony XVII Association plenary Assembly Member Episcopal Conferences of Eastern Africa (AMECEA) at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi.

Equatorial Guinea put up a brave fight in his debut World Cup women on Wednesday, but one goal in 84 of Emilie Haavi minutes gave Norway a 1-0 victory in the opening group d for both teams.

Emily Jean “Emma” Stone (born November 6, 1988) is an American actress. Stone was a cast member of the TV series Drive, and made her feature film debut in the comedy Superbad (2007). She appeared in The House Bunny (2008) and Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (2009). She then starred in the horror-comedy Zombieland and the indie comedy Paper Man in 2009. In 2010, Stone voiced the character Mazie in Marmaduke, and starred in the high school comedy Easy A, which earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy.
Stone’s upcoming films include the Steve Carell comedy Crazy, Stupid, Love, an adaptation of the Kathryn Stockett bestselling novel, The Help, and a role in the comedy Friends With Benefits. She will voice a character in the DreamWorks Animation comedy The Croods, and will play Gwen Stacy in a reboot of the Spider-Man film series.
Early life Stone was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, the daughter of Krista (née Yeager), a homemaker, and Jeff Stone, a contractor. She has a brother who is younger by two years. Stone’s paternal grandfather was of Swedish descent, and his family’s surname was anglicized to “Stone” when immigrating to the U.S. through Ellis Island; her ancestors also lived in Pennsylvania Dutch Country.
She was a member of the Valley Youth Theatre while growing up, a regional theater in Phoenix, Arizona, where she appeared in her first stage production, The Wind in the Willows, at the age of 11. Stone attended Sequoya Elementary School and then Cocopah Middle School for sixth grade. She was home schooled for two years, at which time she appeared in 16 productions at Valley Youth Theatre, including: A Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Tail, The Princess and the Pea, Cinderella, The Wiz, Titanic, Honk!, The Little Mermaid, Schoolhouse Rock Live!, Alice in Wonderland, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and performed with the theater’s improv comedy troupe.
Stone attended Xavier College Preparatory, an all-girl Catholic high school, as a freshman for one semester. She gave a PowerPoint presentation to her parents, set to the Madonna song “Hollywood,” to convince them to let her move to California for an acting career. She dropped out of high school, and in January 2004, moved with her mother to a Los Angeles apartment, at the age of fifteen. She was then home schooled, so that she could audition during the day.
Career Stone launched a career in television after winning the role of Laurie Partridge on In Search of the New Partridge Family (2004), a VH1 talent competition reality show. The resulting show, The New Partridge Family (2005), only produced a pilot episode. Stone next had appearances in the television series Medium, Malcolm in the Middle and Lucky Louie. In 2007, she had a regular role on the Fox drama Drive, playing Violet Trimble, until the series was cancelled.
Stone made her feature film debut in the 2007 teen comedy Superbad, playing Jules, the love interest of lead character Seth (Jonah Hill). In 2008, she appeared in the comedy The Rocker, with Rainn Wilson. Stone played Amelia, the bassist in a band featuring singer Teddy Geiger. Stone learned to play bass for the role. Also that year, Stone appeared in The House Bunny, starring Anna Faris, alongside Katharine McPhee, Kat Dennings, Rumer Willis, and Colin Hanks. Stone played the president of a sorority and sang on a single from the film, “I Know What Boys Like,” a cover version of the 1982 song by The Waitresses.
In 2009, Stone appeared in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, a romantic comedy directed by Mark Waters, the director of Mean Girls, starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner. Stone played “The Ghost of Girlfriends Past,” a takeoff of the Ghost of Christmas Past from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. She starred in the horror/comedy Zombieland, along with Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg. The project, her third comedy for Columbia Pictures, began shooting in Atlanta in February 2009. Stone played Wichita, a survivor/con artist from Wichita, Kansas, traveling across the U.S. with her younger sister Little Rock (Abigail Breslin).
Stone starred in Paper Man, alongside Jeff Daniels, Ryan Reynolds and Lisa Kudrow, directed by Kieran and Michele Mulroney. In the film, a middle-aged novelist, Richard (Jeff Daniels), has an imaginary friend named Captain Excellent (Ryan Reynolds) and also suffers from writer’s block. Stone plays Abby, a babysitter Richard hires after moving to Long Island. Stone began filming the independent comedy on Veterans Day, November 11, 2008, in Montauk, New York, using well-known local locations.
Stone had a voice role in Marmaduke in 2010, a film adaptation of the long-running comic strip about a Great Dane. She voiced Marmaduke’s friend, Mazie, an Australian Shepherd who is a bit of a tomboy. Stone landed her first leading role starring as a high school student in Easy A with Amanda Bynes, a comedy directed by Will Gluck. Her character scandalizes her teachers and more conservative religious classmates after a false rumor circulates that she is sexually promiscuous. The script contrasts the novel The Scarlet Letter and its heroine, Hester Prynne, to the life of the protagonist in the film. Stone was nominated for the 2011 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her role.
Stone will star in Crazy, Stupid, Love, alongside Steve Carell, Julianne Moore, Ryan Gosling and Marisa Tomei. The Warner Bros. film, about a husband (Steve Carell) with marital problems and difficulties with his children, began shooting on April 16, 2010 in Los Angeles. Stone will also star in The Help, an adaptation of Kathryn Stockett’s best-selling novel of the same name, a period piece set in Jackson, Mississippi in the 1960s. She plays Eugenia “Skeeter” Phelan, an aspiring writer, and plans to employ a Southern dialect for the role.
Stone joined the voice cast of The Croods, a 3D computer animated caveman comedy by DreamWorks Animation. She will voice the role of Eep, the oldest daughter of Grug (Nicolas Cage) and Ugga (Catherine Keener). Ryan Reynolds voices Gy, the love interest to Stone’s character. The film is scheduled for release on March 30, 2012. She also joined the cast of Friends With Benefits, starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, and directed by Will Gluck. The relationship comedy began filming in July 2010 in New York.
Stone appeared at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards on September 12, 2010, and introduced Linkin Park. She stated in 2008 that she would eventually like to venture into film production, producing her own films, and that her dream was to appear on Saturday Night Live. Stone hosted the late-night sketch comedy show on October 23, 2010. She stars in the comedic short film, “Veronica,” alongside Kieran Culkin, directed by Griffin Dunne. The short is a comedy segment that is part of an anthology film called Movie 43, featuring Kate Winslet, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman, Uma Thurman, Halle Berry, and others. The feature-film was produced by the Farrelly brothers and directed by Elizabeth Banks, Steven Brill and Steve Carr.
Stone will star as the female lead in The Amazing Spider-Man, a reboot by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment of the Spider-Man film series. She plays Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker’s love interest, in the Marc Webb-directed film; a release date of July 3, 2012 has been set. The film went into production in December 2010 and is scheduled to last through April 2011. Stone was considered for the lead in a reboot of 21 Jump Street, alongside Superbad co-star Jonah Hill. She did not take the role however, after signing on to Spider-Man. Stone will again work with writer/director Will Gluck, starring in and executive producing an untitled comedy for Screen Gems.

First off I'd like to say that even though I was skeptical at first, I've listened to "Moves Like Mick Jagger" about 12 times today. There goes my hipster cred.
Welcome everyone to another recap of the latest, greatest singing competition The Voice. I will be your host Emily Cheever, and write down everything that comes across my head. And yes, I've had a martini. Sh*t might get vicious.

Watch Maroon 5 And Christina Aguilera Perform "Moves Like Mick Jagger" Gnarles Barkley Is Working On A New Album! In Defense Of: Carson Daly
Carson "Don't Call it a Comeback" Daly introduces us to our wonderful coaches, who are singing "Under Pressure" by Queen. Cee Lo is wearing a sequined dashiki. Blake is amazing, Adam is amazing, Christina misses the first few words. Whoopsie daisie. The best part of the whole thing is that Christina fixes her ear piece when she hits a high note, like every bad mockery of her ever done.
Overall, I was a little more impressed with their other performances, this one seemed hastily thrown together. I hope it was because they were all too busy coaching their singers to practice.
Carson "Sometimes, I still call Eminem...just to talk" Daly lets us know that this eppy will be jam packed with performances, which makes me excited as a viewer, but worried for my carpal tunnel syndrome. This is going to be a big one, folks.

We get a shot of the contestants and they look radiant.
Carson "I rented this suit" Daly wants to ask the contestants some questions. Dia clearly needs to work on her interactions- she's so awkward. Actually, all the contestants are awkward. What's the deal with getting these people to talk when they're so f*cking nervous? Javier makes up some bull about how they all genuinely love each other. Sure. That was before he infected his rivals with laringitis at the contintental breakfast this morning.
Carson "I probably have Anthony Keidis' number in my cell phone" Daly mentions how being at the live show is like being at TRL. It makes me laugh.
In the shameless pimping of social products room, the chick with fun hair asks Beverly how she feels. "There can only be one." Beverly says "Like Highlander." BEVERLY IS THE BEST.
Javier is all about his vocals with his original song (That's right- they're playing originals!). In the rehersal the song sounds so cheesy it's as if I dipped my string cheese into a spicy queso sauce. But "Stitch by Stitch" is going to be performed live, so we'll see...
Cut to: Puzzle piece graphics falling in the background (someone left the screensaver on). The song was basically made for the dentist's office. It's got a nice melody and vocals, but it's so terribly inoffensive that I kind of zone out for a bit and check the twitter. Oh, Carson Daly is trending. How 'bout that.
Typical to the show, the coaches never say anything bad about the person who just performed. Adam is proud.
Does anyone else think that this song may have been a game changer? I just don't think that "Stitch by Stitch" was a song that's going to win the competition. It's just too safe, too easy.
Dia and Blake are up to duet (oh yes, there will be coach/contestant duets). They're singing "Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty (!!!) and Dia fawns over Blake for teaching her confidence. It's precious. I quote Blake "I remember when I had that look in my face that Dia has...I probably lost that along the way somewhere. And she's helped me find it again." Blake Shelton, I didn't know who you were before this show, but I am officially smitten.
Their duet starts, rocking the Ray-Ban Wayfarers and suits. It's incredible. Except we notice how tall Blake is because he's basically squatting to stay on the same level as Dia. Oh, and they have matching guitars. Dia's really living it on stage. I love to watch her perform. She pulls into ranking number 1, for me at least.
Next up is Team Cee Lo, Vicci is reading her original song "Afraid to Sleep." She admits that Dashboard Confessional is a guilty pleasure of hers. It takes cojones to admit that but I feel her. Who hasn't listened to some Dashboard from time to time?
The song is shades of the band Heart from the 80s. I wish she would enunciate more, but I like the lyrics I hear. True to what she said during her rehearsal, it's a song that builds. I get the stank face of approval. The stank face of approval is when I curl my upper lip and nod my head to the beat, as if to say, "Ughhh. Yeah. That's good." She lets the beat drop for a moment, which is always good in any song, and she hits every note with the vibrato of a person that may or may not then go into seizure. This girl really feels it. I would not be upset if she won.
Can we talk about Christina's boobs? My roommate says that he doesn't mind them (typical guys, am I right?), but his girlfriend and I agree that they look weird. Her bra's a little ill fitting, I guess? What I'm trying to say is that it's distracting.
Pit Bull and Ne Yo take the stage...wait, WHAT? Did the channel change? I'm really confused. Here's the thing: I'm really white. So I don't know who these people are. Is that really bad? I listen to Animal Collective, so I fear I'm far behind on any of the Top 40 unless it the folks at Ology tell me I should listen to something. Anyway they sing something about boffing Lindsay Lohan and the back up dancers (who have been the bane of my existence) are straight out of the American Apparel catalog. Which reminds me, I need new leggings.
Meanwhile in the Social Media lounge extravaganza, Dia says she wants to sing some more Tom Petty and Beverly wants to sing some more Etta James. I would so be in to that Beverly, do it.
Beverly and Christina are doing "Beautiful" together. Typical Christina. Personally, I think they shoud sing 4 Non-Blondes. In the rehearsal, it's like two amazing singers are singing at each other, rather than with each other. This happens from time to time, especially when dealing with X-Tina.
Beverly starts of super strong, I always forget how much I enjoy watching her perform. Christina puts her hand up to her ear mic again. It sounds like I'm harping on Team Christina, but I'm not, their duet is great. They sound great together. I would even consider purchasing this on iTunes.
Katherine McPhee pops up out of nowhere. Oh hay, Katherine McPhee. What are you doing here? She's here to pimp out her new show Smash, which premieres next midseason on NBC. Check that shiz out here.
Carson "I only call Kurt Loder when I'm drunk" Daly reminds us that we should only be voting on the contestants' original songs, which I think is rather silly. How can you forget the duets of tonight? Even subconsciously every performance is going to affect you. Anyway, Dia's up- her rehearsal footage of her typically slouched over (my Grandmother would go crazy over her posture) and she giggles when Blake talks.
Dia takes the stage to sing "Inventing Shadows" which I actually like, mostly because the lyrics are really good. It's completely ruined, of course, by the addition of cheesy back up dancers. Damn you back up dancers, damn you to hell. It's one of those songs that the CW or MTV will play over a Teen Wolf or Gossip Girl dramatic moment. Meaning: Guilty pleasure to the extreme. Much like Dashboard! I think it's the best of the original songs so far- we still have Beverly to go. Personally, I think she (Dia) is going to win. Especially cause Javier was "meh."
Christina is angry because she got heat once about the back up dancers and Blake totally zings her. But again, everyone is distracted by the back up dancers. Blake is so supportive of Dia and I love it. I really think she's going to sweep, guys.
Except that Adam and Javier are going to duet with "Man in the MIrror" which is totally SICK. They come out looking like rejects of Boys II Men and I'm into it. And OH MY GOD, the duet is so good. RIP Michael Jackson, these boys are doing you right. I actually like it so much I think I have a new karaoke song to debut this Thursday (Ology outing night). I do wish that Javier would start scatting a bit though.
Brad Paisley takes the stage, with Blake joining eventually. In typical country music fashion they're singing about drinkin' in Mexico. Maybe I should start listening to country more often, clearly it's music after my own heart. I mean, they're talking about getting drunk. That's what I do. Oh and by the way, Brad Paisley looks like a midget compared to the super giant that is Blake Shelton.

The last original song comes from Beverly. It's sure to be an absolute powerhouse. It's called "Love Sick" which furthers the expectation of blues and crescendo that Beverly is so good at.
She starts the performance off with a silly dance move, but she is the only one who really understands the premise of a single. It's poppy, upbeat, powerful, and has a fast tempo. Like a Kelly Clarkson song. Seriously, you guys, this is making it hard to predict who's going to win. Anyway, "Love Sick" is also delightfully 80s. History, fashion, and now music repeats itself. She wins for best original song HANDS DOWN.
Can we all agree at this point that the contestants are incredible?
The final duet of the night is Cee Lo and Vicci. Which during the rehearsal Cee Lo says is "explosive." They're going to do Pat Benetar's "Love is a Battlefield." Stank face commencing, because it's going to be awesome.
In the perfomance, there's tiny children and Cee Lo is dressed like...Rufffio?! They're referencing Hook? YOU GUYS, THIS IS SOME SICK SH*T. I can't even begin to describe the reaction that I'm having right now. The child dancers are a million times better than the regular dancers. Cee Lo has a mohawk. Seriously, me and my roommates are screaming in jubliation right now because this has to be, hands down, the best performance that The Voice has ever put on. You'll be watching it on YouTube tomorrow, no doubt.
Overall, Javier's original song blew, but his duet was incredible. Dia's original was beautiful and her duet was equally impressive, Beverly's original and duet were great, Vicci's original was also "meh" but her duet was the best performance of the season.

Katharine mcphee, star of the upcoming NBC series "Smash", is starting his own contract with Columbia Records, the network showed on Thursday.
-9 June 2011: NBC UNIVERSAL CITY, California and Columbia Records reached agreement on a contract the rights to the soundtrack of NBC's new music series "Smash" and star of the series Katharine McPhee also signed a solo recording contract with Columbia Records.
Network "Smash", since half of the season (10-11 p.m. ET) on Monday, NBC, Debra Messing ("Will & Grace") and McPhee ("American Idol") and Oscar winner Anjelica Huston (Prizzi's honor "").
The announcements were made by Robert Greenblatt, President, NBC Entertainment and Rob Stringer, President of Columbia/Epic Label Group.
The agreement guarantees rights throughout the world, digital and physical form of the first season of "smash" with successive options following seasons.
"A musical number, of course must be accompanied by a part of the soundtrack, and NBC is excited to work with the best". Columbia partners will guide the soundtrack to "smash 'em a big component of the series," said Greenblatt. "Music will be a driving force that promises to make a tremendous impact for NBC in January and we could not have asked for the best experience and strategy that the company will provide".
"We are very pleased and proud to be chosen by NBC to work on her new show," said Rob Stringer, President of Columbia/Epic Label Group. "Music is the heart of" smash "and with our partners in publicizing wonderfully creative, we develop innovative strategies for presenting this music to a huge audience.
"smash" is a musical drama that celebrates the beauty and unrequited love of Broadway Theatre, as can be seen in a representative sample of dreamers and conspirators who all have a common desire: to be a "Smash". The soundtrack will be both original compositions by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, Tony and Grammy recognized composers hits Broadway "hairspray" and "Catch Me if you Can", and covers a variety of existing successes combined to indicate the description of this musical series.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has confirmed the launch of Blu-ray from his science fiction comedy by Paul on August 9. The film from Greg Mottola (Superbad) is located in a combined package of Blu-ray or DVD with both versions without classification and theatrical film on each disk. The first wave of Blu-rays Paul to also will include a digital copy.
The film brings Simon Pegg and Nick Frost ( hot fuzz,Shaun of the Dead) as two science fiction fans travel abroad of tourism in the southwest of the United States. There they meet Paul (Seth Rogen), a foreigner slacker who has escaped from his captors in the Government. The screenplay was written by Pegg and Simon, includes allusions to many of the classics of science fiction in Hollywood. The film is also Kristin Wiig, Jason Bateman, Bill Hader, Jane Lynch, Sigourney Weaver, Jeffrey Tambor and Joe Lo Truglio.
