On the second anniversary of the death of Michael Jackson ... shots were fired a few houses away from where the fans were getting set to visit the House that MJ lived during their stay in Las Vegas-and law enforcement sources tell us ... is a dog of a bullet.
According to a witness of the scene, shot about 3-4 houses where the tour MJ was going down.
Police had already in the area to the lower in the case of Jackson disturbance (See the photo above, taken before the shots were fired) and we're told ran on the origin of the shots.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... official was attacked by a dog and they had to fire to stop. Nothing yet on the status of the dog.
Update: we're told the dog-a black pit bull about 40-50 pounds-not died and he was taken to a nearby veterinarian.
